Setra in Malå is now integrating into the growing HS Group. We are looking for an IT Technician / Local IT Manager who wants to be the central point for IT operations and support at our sawmill.
This is the role for you who enjoys combining technical responsibility, problem-solving, and close collaboration with users, where each day presents both challenges and opportunities to contribute to the efficiency of the business.

About the role
As the Local IT Manager, you will be the go-to person for everything related to IT at the sawmill. You will ensure that computers, servers, networks, and peripheral equipment are functioning, while also providing support, solving problems, and driving smaller IT projects. The role involves both operational work and development of local IT processes, with close collaboration with colleagues and external IT suppliers.
Your main responsibilities
IT operations and support
Be the go-to person for the local IT environment
Provide user support and troubleshoot technical issues for employees
Ensure that servers, computers, networks, and peripheral equipment function correctly
Administer and maintain workplace equipment, clients, and peripherals
Infrastructure and system administration
Perform ongoing maintenance and security updates
Collaborate with external IT suppliers as needed
Contribute to the implementation of IT updates and changes
Support local improvement initiatives and smaller IT projects
Collaboration and escalation
Work closely with production and colleagues to understand and support their IT needs
Escalate more advanced issues to the group's IT resources as needed
Participate in on-call duties to ensure operations and support
Your background
Experience or interest in Microsoft clients and basic server administration
Basic understanding of networks, firewalls, and user management
Experience in an industrial environment or production-oriented IT is a plus
Practical experience with hardware, software, and network solutions
Ability to document and maintain local IT processes
